SQRT

Returns the square root of a number

Syntax

SQRT(number)

Arguments

Argument	Description	Required
`number`	The non-negative number for which you want the square root	Required

Examples

Square root of perfect square

=SQRT(25)

Result ⇒ 5

Square root of decimal

=SQRT(2)

Result ⇒ 1.4142

Square root from cell value

=SQRT(A1)

Result ⇒ 8

TAN - Returns the tangent of the given angle
TRUNC - Truncates a number to an integer by removing the fractional part
